Applicability of State Equine Activity Statute: Person signing the form agrees the statute will apply to limit liability.​

Required Liability Release Language: If the state’s equine activity statute requires certain language in liability releases, the form contains that language, and the person signing the form agrees it meets the statutory requirements.

Warning Signs: If the state’s equine activity statute requires posting certain warning signs, the person signing the release states they saw posted signs meeting all statutory requirements.

Other Contracts and Liability Releases: Can specify that this form will be incorporated into other contracts, such as an Equine Training Agreement or Equine Boarding Agreement, even if the other contract was signed at an earlier date.

Please note: DO NOT USE THESE AS STANDALONE LIABILITY RELEASES. They are designed to use with activity-specific equine liability releases, such as lease contracts, riding lesson agreements and boarding contracts.

Most states now have statutes designed to limit liability for certain horse-related activities. These state-specific liability release forms are designed to confirm that the state’s equine activity act will apply. DO NOT USE THESE AS STANDALONE LIABILITY RELEASES. They are designed to be used with our activity-specific liability release forms and contracts, such as our Equine Boarding Agreement and Equine Training Agreement.
